Poetry

A World Apart, by Moriah A.

As I prance thru the glittering forests I see,
the sparkling pools of water that beckon me;
I hear the whisper of the living trees,
And a faint whistle from afar echos sweetly in my ears.
The winds are like a window to the other worlds;
the things that lie beyond,
Our simple lives,
Here in this place.
There is a wanting,
In my soul,
For something bigger,
And something more.
Beneath the willow tree,
I sit and think of thee,
And all the things that I,
Can become,
In this wild and free,
World apart.
I stray once more onto,
The field that winds around,
The pools of glistening hope,
And wet mirror to life.
